What makes us different?

There are many camps out there which offer great trips, sports, swimming and activities. In our camp we seek to provide and work hard to maintain something which is difficult to find in any other camp.

There is a reason that children love our camp, look forward to coming each day and talk about our camp all year long. It's not just our trips and activities , rather the way in which our trips, swimming, sports and activities are structured into the daily schedule. This allows the children to maximize on these activities, giving them a variety of activities each day, and keep them constantly on the move and involved in camp. Every minute of every camp day is planned before camp begins, counselors always have the daily camp schedule on hand, and there is no dull moment in camp, children are always busy and occupied.

In addition to this, both parents and children love our camp for the way we have customized our camp in the following ways:

Staff that care
We hand pick our staff, our counselors are all with prior camp experience, trained in cpr and first aid.

Camp for our counselors is not just a summer job or a place to spend the summer. Counselors put tremendous care and attention into every child in their care. The counselors all being Chabad girls from Lubavitch homes know that the summer is a time to give children a great time and teach them Judaism in the process. For the counselors, the children are the goal and purpose of their summer, children feel this, and it creates an unmatched camp environment and spirit that the children thrive on.

With daily staff meetings about the progress of each group and each child in the group, we are able to ensure that each child is maximizing on their camp experience.

Open communication
We maintain constant contact with parents via printed notices and emails to ensure that we are all on the same page.

We have received many compliments from parents for our communications efforts, expressing that our being in touch shows that we really care about the children.

Examples:
A fun, easy to navigate website with all the information you need, and an advanced online calendar with important daily information.

  • Printed calendars that you can put in your kitchen for easy reference
  • Emails that go out anytime there is information to share
  • Notices home

When parents have questions or concerns, we try to get back ASAP to put concerns at ease.

Big trips updates
When the camp goes on a “big trip” e.g Great Adventures, parents are concerned that the children will be so far from home, and in such a large place with so many people. Our Camp Directors being parents themselves know that this is a natural concern for parents and look for ways to ease parents concerns. We have created a special page on our website accessible only by camp parents, with constant status updates with pictures about what the children are doing at that time.

We have received a tremendous amount of positive feedback for this. Imagine, your children are over 150 miles away having a blast with their friends, you know they are having fun, but you are worried – the natural normal feeling that parents have. Now imagine that you can actually see your kids in almost real time, get information about what and how they are doing.

Directors are there for you, and are always available
We understand that parents rely and put their trust in the camp directors for safety and fun.
The directors make themselves available so parents can easily communicate in case of need.

You can directly communicate with the directors via:

- personal email
- A call to the camp office
