DIRECTORS
Rabbi Mendel & Elke Zaltzman, Directors at Fair Lawn Jewish Day Camp since its inception in 2008, have had the privilege of being involved in and creating youth programs ever since their attendance in day and overnight camps as campers and staff.
Building on the success of each summer, with great attention to detail and excellent communication with parents, the Fair Lawn Jewish Day Camp has, under their leadership, grown into the most popular summer destination for children across Bergen County.
Their philosophy of inclusion, belief in the potential of each child, and sense of community has helped create and maintain a competitively priced Jewish camp where parents can send their kids knowing they will have the best summer experience, in a nonjudgemental environment, be a part of the Jewish community, and benefit from learning about Israel, Jewish tradition, Holidays, and more in a fun day camp setting.
The results are self evident, FLJDC is raved about by all kids who attended, with most new campers coming from word of mouth from other happy families.

STAFF
Our Camp prides itself on its exceptional staff. All staff come with prior camp experience and a desire to work with kids. Bunks are well staffed. Electives are run by professional instructors.
We take great pride in our commitment to recruiting, training, and keeping the highest quality staff in the camping profession. Over the years, FLJDC has always been dedicated to small groups with exceptional staff supervision. This ensures the best possible care, instruction, and supervision for our campers. Our counselors are all certified in CPR and First Aid, highly trained, dedicated, and experienced.
